Business Problem
As a European manufacturer, our client quickly established a strong presence in the local market and has since expanded to more than 50 countries worldwide. As the company outgrew the capabilities of its legacy software, it needed a modern, flexible, and scalable system to support its rapid growth. The solution had to cover the entire production and logistics cycle - from the receipt of raw materials and components, their storage and movement to production lines, to the dispatch of finished goods to the central warehouse, followed by order picking and shipping to customers. Additionally, the system needed to serve as a centralized hub for managing all B2B and B2C orders coming from various marketplaces, while also ensuring efficient handling of procurement, accounting, and analytical reporting.
Business Problem
Our client chose Odoo ERP to replace its legacy system, and we supported them in implementing the following key solutions:
- ● Integrated Odoo with its existing eCommerce platform, Base (formerly Baselinker).
- ● Set up production management in Odoo, including long-term planning of production lines, control of work centers, and quality checks at each stage.
- ● Implemented and configured warehouse management in Odoo – covering raw material intake, internal transfers, manufacturing, finished goods dispatch, and order fulfillment. The process was supported by our Ventor mobile app for handheld scanners.
- ● Optimized the warehouse layout and improved picking strategies.
- ● Configured accounting processes with support for local tax and regulatory requirements.
- ● Conducted a series of on-site workshops, which ensured alignment with our client’s team, accelerated decision-making, and improved collaboration throughout the project.
Results
- ● Orders from multiple marketplaces are now centralized in Odoo, enabling the processing of up to 100,000 orders per month.
- ● The new Odoo-based system supports global expansion — unlike the previous software, which had become a barrier to growth.
- ● Improved warehouse operations resulted in faster, more accurate order processing, ensuring on-time delivery despite a significant increase in order volume.
- ● Accelerated time-to-market for new products and SKUs (vitamins, supplements, etc.) due to streamlined production and inventory processes.
- ● Reduced costs and increased resilience: consolidating systems in Odoo lowered software overhead and reduced reliance on manual processes or key individuals.
