    Yes. We have implemented Odoo for several large international distributors with complex supply chains — including companies buying goods in China, managing local production, shipping containers with different Incoterms, and planning seasonal demand. Odoo handles forecasting, shipment arrival predictions, and purchase planning, so products arrive exactly when needed.

    Our clients used different storage models (e.g., their own warehouses, 3PLs, drop-shipping), and Odoo supported all of them. Warehouse operations are especially strong: With our warehouse apps, companies significantly speed up picking, improve accuracy, and reduce fulfillment time — sometimes several times over.

    In theory, our BAs can help analyze inventory turnover and suggest the best placement of products in warehouses. In one situation, we advised a client on the best location to build a new warehouse based on past orders.

    Odoo also becomes more effective every year. With each new release, the platform is refactored and optimized, allowing it to handle higher volumes.

  • 🛒 What integrations (eCommerce, marketplaces, carriers, 3PLs) can Odoo handle out of the box, and which require development?

    Odoo supports many popular platforms out of the box — including Amazon (with certain limitations), FedEx, PayPal, and for some countries: e-platforms of tax, customs, and other government organizations, etc.

    For most other systems, the Odoo community offers ready-made third-party connectors. For example, there are proven solutions like the Shopify connector and MyParcel connector, along with many others covering marketplaces, carriers, WMS/TMS tools, fulfillment partners, and even AI agents.

    In practice, about 90% of integrations are available as ready-to-use modules. However, depending on your specific workflows or business rules, these connectors may still require adjustments or customization to perfectly match your processes.

  • 💻 Can Odoo replace my existing WMS or TMS?

    Yes, in most cases, Odoo can fully replace your current WMS or TMS. It supports multi-warehouse operations, barcode and RFID picking, routing, carrier integrations, and 3PL workflows — and with our Ventor PRO warehouse app, these processes become even faster and more reliable.

    If you have very specific workflows, VentorTech can customize Odoo to match them, but for the vast majority of distributors that we’ve worked with, Odoo fully replaced their separate WMS/TMS systems.
