The main challenge was the frequent regulatory changes for submitting electronic invoices to the Romanian government portal. No ready-made modules were available that fully met the evolving compliance requirements, leading to delays and the need for custom development. Additionally, the current vendor did not perform adequately in addressing these challenges, and the existing Shopify connector did not function reliably.

Key Solution

To address this situation, we customized an e-invoicing module specifically tailored to comply with the changing Romanian regulations. In addition, we implemented also several improvements related to other ongoing tasks, which enhanced system stability and ensured alignment with specific business requirements. Also, the Shopify connector was improved to ensure accurate, real-time data synchronization across sales channels. Additionally, improvements were made in accounting by enhancing integration with key systems such as E-Factura, E-Transport, and SAGA XML, resulting in more efficient financial workflows and better regulatory compliance.

Results

As a result of the implemented solutions, the company’s invoicing process is now fully compliant with Romanian regulatory requirements, even as those regulations continue to evolve. System stability and performance have improved significantly, reducing operational bottlenecks and manual interventions. The enhanced Shopify connector ensures reliable, real-time synchronization, which enables streamlined sales and order processing. Furthermore, the improved integration with e-Factura, E-Transport, and SAGA XML has optimized accounting workflows, increased data accuracy, and strengthened overall financial and regulatory control.
