EXPECTATIONS FROM CANDIDATE

• Experience 3+ years working with Python 2.7+ or 3.5+
• Experiences in write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean Python and JS code
• Development experience using Django or Flask (if no Odoo knowledge)
• SQL – free to write queries
• Knowledge of debugging applications written in Python
• Experiences in writing unittests for Python web applications
• Experience and comfortable usage of command line interface in Unix / Linux systems
• Understanding and ability to explain client-server architecture
• Reading specifications / documentation in English
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, etc.
• Experience with both consuming and designing GraphQL and RESTful APIs

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Implementation of changes in Odoo according to the description of a business analyst (writing new modules in Python for Odoo)
• Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows
• Basic verification of your own functionality before transferring to the QA Engineer (on the DEV server)
• If necessary – preliminary approval of the technical solution / architecture with the Lead developer on the project
• Work not only on the technical component of the project, but also understanding what these changes are made for and how they will affect the business.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Gradual study of the functional and technical capabilities of each of Odoo modules (Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, Production, etc.)
• Other developers code review (for additional testing and knowledge transfer)
• Optimizing your application for performance
• Keeping an eye on Odoo/Python security updates and best practices
• Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices
