Dr. Massing grew quickly but was blocked by process and system problems that prevented scaling:

Create a single, reliable operational backbone so Dr. Massing can scale without adding headcount: clear order management, inventory truth by location, fast and accurate picking/fulfilment, and integrated procurement → production → sales flows — all visible and controllable in Odoo.

Solution: more than “just” Odoo (connector + mobile WMS as the backbone)

bob led a structured program (5 workstreams) and coordinated a physical redesign of the warehouse. The solution combined Odoo with targeted integrations and VentorTech as the operational glue:

  1. Multi-shop Shopify → Odoo integration (VentorTech’s connector)
    • Two Shopify stores connected via the Odoo Shopify connector developed by VentorTech (B2C & B2B).
    • Orders flow in near real-time; channel identities preserved so each shop’s P&L and fulfillment behaviour are tracked separately.
    • Product/variant normalization and canonical SKUs ensure a single product truth across channels.
  2. Mobile WMS / picking with the Ventor app
    • Ventor PRO (an Odoo barcode alternative) deployed as the mobile WMS for picking and warehouse operations.
    • Picking workflows redesigned for the newly laid-out warehouse and optimized for throughput and accuracy.
  3. Warehouse layout and process redesign
    • Warehouse flow and layout rethought and executed with a specialist to eliminate bottlenecks.
    • Physical changes + Ventor picking workflows doubled logistics capacity without extra staff or space.
    • Thanks to the Ventor app, the same warehouse staff can pick more orders than before. It allowed to deliver all orders faster.
  4. Change management, training & measurement
    • Five-workstream rollout with regular workshops, demos and a Day-1 test environment.
    • KPIs defined across functions and collected weekly (PDCA) to drive continuous improvement.
    • Structured go-live validation on site ~4 weeks before the switch.
